Article:
Is James Flame Glenn Owen? Over the past few months many
questions have arisen based around these two men, most notable is the
question of Glenn Owens whereabouts. Did he really die lying on a table
in the middle of a castle out in the world somewhere? Well these are questions
nobody really has the answer to at the moment. Many theory’s have
arisen over the past few months, and some of them are really worth looking
into.
Hordriss ? Just who is this guy ? Over
a month ago now SFT was visited by a mysterious character called Hordriss.
Like all wrestlers we are told he sent in an application, had a tryout
and was given his first match. In his first match he won comfortably,
but that was when things really began to get interesting. Hordriss is
indeed an old man, and when he started talking about looking for someone,
a few people began to realize things. For a start he was far too wise,
even for an old man, and indeed his ways seemed to resemble those of our
Co-Owner Shadow. Indeed there were many rumors flying around that Hordriss
was indeed Shadow in disguise, as we still to this day have not seen the
face of Hordriss. But only a little time after we saw Glenn Owen lying
almost dead in the castle of Hordriss, and apart from a few visits, nobody
has seen him since. He is of course presumed dead.
Now could this really be possible? It’s
no secret that Glenn went through many changes in his life. From a simple
British Badd Ass, to a leader of The Immortal Outlawz to SFW/SFT World
Champion. Glenn just about did it all. Indeed to this day he still holds
the longest World title reign in SFT history with a reign just under 2
months. What makes this even more impressive is the fact that he simply
gave the title away to Fox, his greatest enemy, even though at the time
he was touched by practically nobody on the roster. Could a man like this
really just lay down and die without a trace? Maybe Glenn has changed
a lot in his time, and after his title reign he did indeed become SFT
Ambassador, the creator of Holy Wars 2 and went on to have a memorable
match with Shadow, a match in which Shadow openly admits was the hardest
match he has ever had in his long… long wrestling career. Maybe
all of this was the reason Glenn could not live anymore. Maybe ***
in the end the darkness really did
just take him over that he fought against for so long, and now is resting
in the same place as Legion.
But all of this is
no good without us seeing something with our own eyes. This brings me
to another point, who really was Hordriss? It has been suggested that
it was Glenn’s father, or maybe it really was Shadow ending his
best friend in a silent but honourable way. Who knows? But then, there
are some clues…
What of the re-appearance
of James Flame. This surly can not go without looking at more closely.
James Flame was the reason Glenn came to SFW in the first place. It was
indeed James Flame that propelled The British Badd Ass to fame in such
a short time. However, long ago, a theory was cooked up. One which till
this day is still in a few people’s minds for those who have been
around long enough. Is Glenn Owen really…..
James Flame? It sounds daft I know. But just look
at the facts. The British Badd Ass as a rookie took over from James Flame
The Immortal Outlawz and straight away gave them just as much as James
Flame ever did. James & Glenn were best friends, and each one to the
present day will defend the other till the death. James Flame had his
last match in his long career when The British Badd Ass practically had
his first. Add to that the fact that nobody has ever seen them both around
at the same time, and that The British Badd Ass seemed to have a far greater
knowledge, and certainly skill than any rookie could possibly ever dream
of. Is this just all a co-incidence? Or have we indeed been fooled by
the original master mind of SFW, the man who’s wrestling record
will truly never be beaten again. James Flame in his prime was the greatest
ever. For those of you who don’t remember, he is not lying when
he said he held every single belt in SFW all at the same time….
For months. He was a legend in every possible aspect, but of course these
days he is looked upon as a has been. Is someone with this much talent
and history really the sort of person not capable to pulling of such a
stunt. It’s been rumoured that James Flame wanted to start all over
again and see if it was himself who had the impact, or just his name.
With that thought, we have to admit that The British Badd Ass practically
took off where James was left. Could Glenn Owen really have been his other
character ? Is it possible that for all this time, James Flame has indeed
been doing what he always says he could…. Beating anyone who dares
get in his way.
Well, these are questions
that have yet to be answered, and maybe we will never know the answers.
But the questions will still remain. Whatever we know, find out or happens,
it’s worth remembering Glenn Owen for what he did. To this day his
wrestling record really is matched by nobody in SFT history. , and when
we sit down and remember the true… true greats of SFW/SFT, Glenn’s
name will forever be mentioned. He had a long, great career as The British
Badd Ass, and as Glenn Owen, he simply had an even longer one. When you
think the only man to ever beat Glenn Owen were Shadow & Legion, that
is not a bad record at all. He was a man that believed in pure wrestling,
simply as that. He had his own ways of doing things, and he has stood
up to SFT management and staff in the past Nemours times defending the
rights of his friends, and wrestlers, and what he believed to be the correct
way of doing things. He needed not titles or fame, he was just himself,
but that alone made him an idol to so many. Whatever has happened to him,
we hope he remembers us the same way we remember him. |
