A Harold interview:
Harold: Today I am joined by the one and only infamous Accountant. Thank you for clearing some time from your busy schedule to do this with us today.
The Accountant: Not a problem, although I've got tax forms on my desk that I do need to get to work on soon
Harold: We'll make this as untedious as we can. Now first question is, you’d been gone almost a year, where were you? What were you doing?
The Accountant: I went off to find myself. My performance in the ring was not what I wanted it to be. Also, unlike many SFT superstars, I have a job both in the locker room and in Washington D.C. so it’s a tough balancing act. People always ask why the Accountant is gone around the spring time but its tax season so it should not be a surprise, except for those who choose not to pay their fair share. However, as my company has grown with me at the helm, I believe I should be able to stay in the SFT for an extended period of time this year.
Harold: Good to hear. Now you've had a rocky return, you came back strong but lost allot of steam for a while, now you managed to make it into the second round of the LL, tell us, now that you seem to have found your stride again, what are you current short term plans and what are your long term goals?
The Accountant: My long term goal is to be SFT World Champion. Most of my earlier focus in the SFT when I arrived in 2000 was simply to win the World Television championship, which I did. Then I wanted something more so I won the United States championship three times. It's been a rough road since I've gotten back, I will not lie but I believe sooner or later I'll find the rhythm that made me dominant around here once upon a time
Harold: Give us some history on yourself, Accountant 101, how long you been doing this? Where you got started? Major titles you’ve held. Give us everything.
The Accountant: Well I got my CPA license when I was only 18
The Accountant: I got into college when I was 14, those idiot children I was in school with simply could not comprehend the brain power that I held. However, when I was working my office job for 14 hours a day I thought about other interests and the squared circle always drew me in with all of the strategy it took to win a match. So, I got trained and got my start in Australia, where I competed in 1998 and some of 1999 before taking a tour of Japan in 1999 and then wrestling in the Caribbean shortly before I came to the SFT
The Accountant: As far as major accomplishments, outside of the SFT I have won world championships in three different promotions on two continents and in the SFT I've been the world television champion and three-time U.S. champion, as well as a Lethal Lottery finalist.
The Accountant: and I might also add that I've been named "Accountant of the Year" by the Washington D.C. accounting union for the last six years
Harold: You've been wrestling a long time, you’ve been in the SFW/SFT for most of the last half decade, you’ve seen it change as well as the business, what do you see as the biggest changes in the last few years? How is SFT different today from when you first began wrestling here?
The Accountant: It's different in that there are not as many wrestlers in the locker room. When I first started here we had four cards a week and I remember the grind of having to get to the shows and do a lot of my business transactions via cell phone and fax. Now, though, the locker room seems empty except when it is Lethal Lottery time. With the shrinking locker room, we've also had fewer shows to attend to, which is fine as far as my business acumen goes. Pay-per-views also used to be a bit more prestigious. The SFT pay-per-views are still the best around, but it seems that everyone gets on the card without earning their place. I remember when I first started going several months before getting on pay-per-view. I had to earn it and I remember my pay-per-view debut was in December of 2000 when I defended the World TV title against Goldeneye.
