Title: The Strength of real Brass..

A Harold interview:

Harold: Tonight I am joined by the one and only Brass Martin, I thank you Brass for taking time out of your busy schedule to do this interview.

Brass Martin: Thank you Harold it’s a pleasure to be here, I have been waiting for this for quite some time now

Harold: Well our schedules finally came together, first question is, we know all you’ve done since you returned, but tell me how did it feel at first when you returned a few months ago after such a long time of inactivity?

Brass Martin: Well I have been gone because I had decided that I needed to get an education, then one day when I was looking at the boards I saw that there was few wrestlers on SFT, Connor had been MIA for a while, so I decided to give this place some help and again found myself motivated to rp again

Harold: So that’s all you were doing just at college? You seemed really in shape, and you had hardly any rust when you reappeared, how did you keep your wrestling form?

Brass Martin: well I try to keep in shape on my personal standard. I work out 3 times a week so I keep form and try not to lose shape, and it all worked out because when I entered the ring I felt alive

Harold: Tell me in your opinion the major differences you see in SFT now and when you were here last time?

Brass Martin: Well to be truthful the SFT has lost many of its talented wrestlers, the roster was full almost 35 people on roster, now barely 20 people on roster and a handful that don’t even bother to rp, I miss the old days and soon I hope SFT like back then can expand and grow

Harold: Ok well give us some history, where you got started, how long you been a wrestler, give us Brass History 101.

Brass Martin: Oh wow, I haven’t really thought about that. It all started in the summer of 2005. I worked with a man you know as Louis Cypher, he introduced me here into SFT; and well I liked. I won my debut match in a triple threat against Jason Vain and Manix which I was really proud of and in about less than a month after that was Television Champion from which I defeated Agent Orange. Since then I have been fighting people here and there, a title I am very proud of winning was the Intercontinental from which I defeated Connor MacDaddy. Since then I have just been picking up the pieces and doing what im doing today.

Harold: Wow those are some big names from the past, a blast from the past, haven’t thought of them in forever. In your short time back you captured the US Title which you never technically lost then won the World Title. You did what most thought you couldn’t do, at least not as fast as you did it, you are considered one of SFT's best workers and you give it your all week in and week out, tell us is that how you always are, like you just take every match as a title match? Or were you just on a hot streak? And how did it feel to shock SFT and the world by winning the World Title?

Brass Martin: Wow when I came back I felt better than ever and I felt that I had something to prove. I was probably considered a nobody the first time I joined SFT, so I was on a mission. I take nothing for granted anymore and everything is serious. I am still on that streak, I just hit a little road bump last week when Annika took that title from me, but to tell you the truth it felt awesome to finally prove to the world that I am not a nobody and that I am capable to doing what people may consider impossible. I’m still hot right now and I will prove it by beating my next two opponents in this months PPV at Return to Paradise.

Harold: Well let’s discuss the world title matches you had, most times you and many are forced to use smacktalk but with Twilight you had to go a different route, that actually made your promos better, was it cause of the type of persona he is? Or did you just adapt your own style and took it from there? Because you guys had a great feud and some excellent matches till you finally claimed his title.

Brass Martin: Wow Twilight has a different approach on things, and I think by reading some of the things he had to write it actually helped me with some of my work, it tweaked my perspective on things. Me and Twilight had many good battles starting with the Mini Battle Royal for the United States Title in which I claimed, then at last months PPV: X he put up some good work and I just caught myself relying on his work, so I decided to go a different route and finally found an opening, took it, and claimed the world title. I guess I have to say that by paying attention to your surroundings you can help yourself. I won’t lie, Twilights rps have made me a better rper.

Harold: Wow honesty is a rare commodity; I am impressed with your candidness. Now let’s talk backstage, some have made it clear they don’t like you and well that’s part of the backstage crap, who do you not get along well with and who do you hang out with or get along well with?

Brass Martin: Well to be honest I don’t think Havoc is very fond of me, and to tell you the truth I really don’t care. He thinks he can boss staff around and whatnot, but all he will ever be is Havoc, sure he has held the world title 5 times and may have held it for the longest time, but I see him as just another chump. As for people that I get along with id have to say Rayn and Dameon my new stable mates, and now that Nirvana has officially came back I have found myself spending more time with him as he has taken me under his wing as to help with improvements, Big T and Kyle Murphy also have my back so id say I get along with most of the roster.

Harold: Well now let’s talk about how you get along with the staff and specifically how you get along with our owner Shadow? Any conflicts? Or everything just ok? Everyone has some sort of opinion or feeling about the staff and especially the old man.

Brass Martin: I get along with staff well, I haven’t encountered a time when I hated or disliked any staff, everything is fine in this area. Shadow sometimes gets in touch with me incase anything is needed and in my opinion he deserves more thanks than what some of SFT is saying about him. I thank the man for having and keeping this business alive

Harold: Ok now let’s talk short term goals and long term goals, what are your immediate plans and what do you want for yourself or from SFT in the long-term/years to come?

Brass Martin: well as for short term goals I hope to complete the grand slam run like many people wish, all I need left is the Hardcore and Tag Titles, growing up I watched the Hardyz a lot in WWF and have always wanted to have many tag title victories, but just haven’t found the right partner to do so. The Hardcore Title seems to be wanted right now probably more than the World Title, and I hope to see my name etched on it one day. As for long term goals I just guess I want to be what every other person to come across in SFT, to be inducted in the SFT Hall of Fame, I know that’s not a goal that’s a miracle, but its something I wish would happen in the years to come.

Harold: Nice, now lets talk others, whose promos do you enjoy? Who do you follow or look forward to seeing what they might write? Are there any that impress you or that you always enjoy watching? Not as a wrestler but if you were just a fan as we all in our hearts are.

Brass Martin: Hmm... wow I actually had to think about this. I find myself reading lots of Allisa's promos because she always has something to say and when she does say it she always proves a point. I also keep a close eye on Jonathan Templeton, he has been here for I don’t know how long now and no matter loss after loss he never gives up, never bitches, and instead just comes out week after week trying to finally get that win.

Harold: He's like you but with less talent? Just keeps on going no matter what happens.

Brass Martin: Exactly, and im sure one day he will get what he wants. The kid has heart.

Harold: That he does, and heart goes a long way. Now lets talk what ifs, if you could have 3 matches, with any three wrestlers past or present from any federation, who would you choose and why?

Brass Martin: I would and always wanted to face my teacher Louis Cypher who brought me here to SFT, because his work is unique in its own way; that match would be a privilege and well I am trying to convince the man to return, but he is happy living life. Another would be Nirvana, his work is twisted and even though I might lose im sure he’d put up a heck of a fight, because he treats every fight like it’s his last. The last would be Shadow, SFT has been my home and I the only fed that I truly feel is home, and Shadows work is definitely some of the best pieces of work I have read. They are just too much to ask for.

Harold: Great choices if I may so, well Brass I want to thank you for doing this interview I know you have a million things to do and going on. Goodluck on Sunday.

Brass Martin: Thank you for having me Harold, I want to thank SFT and especially shadow for giving me this opportunity.
