Rick
O'Shea's Random Thoughts (Interview Edition)
Hey, Hey, Hey, It's Rick O'Shea here with you all once again for a very
special interview. This time i sit down with rookie phenom, Nick Kincaid.
We're gonna call this interview Rick O'Shea's Random Interview: Getting to
Know Nick Kincaid, so without futher adue...
Rick O'Shea: I'm here today with
"The Near Future" Nick Kincaid. Let's get this show on the road.
Nick, you are new here to SFT. What brought you here?
Nick Kincaid: For the past few years, I have watched SFT on and off. I
had dreamed of one day competiting here. Being that I am from Boston, I loved
watching my hometown favorites Dave Steel and Mad Dogg. Seeing them dominate
this place kind of inspired me to come here. Then one day, I was talking to a
friend of mine who had been in SFT before and she suggested that I go make
them notice me. I guess it worked.
Rick O'Shea: Mad Dogg and Dave Steel are great athletes, no doubt about
it. What have you learned from them?
Nick Kincaid: I've learned that you don't always have to cheat to win.
Dogg and Steel have built careers on pride. I wish to do the same.
Rick O'Shea: What do you think of the talent level here in SFT?
Nick Kincaid: I think it's outstanding. Seeing guys like Balkan come in
and do amazing things gives me encouragement to not give up. I'm new here and
that may be seen as a bad thing for most people, but I'm not giving up. SFT's
got great talent with Balkan, Johnson, Sizemore, MacDaddy, Lane, and all the
rest. I'm glad to be part of this.
Rick O'Shea: How do you think you match up with guys like Connor and Lane
and ICON and Fireball, etc?
Nick Kincaid: That I'm not sure about. All four are highly decorated
legends. Going up against any of them would make me the obvious underdog.
Hmmm... that could be the motivation needed to be the likes of them. I think I
could give them a run for their money and I'd walk away happy win or lose.
Rick O'Shea: You have a lot of determination. And from experience, I
know that goes very far in getting respect from other wrestlers. Are you big
on respect? Does that matter to you?
Nick Kincaid: I'm very big on respect. One problem with my debut match
is that it was against somebody who very little people respect. If I were to
face a respectable person, my abilities would probably shine more. So, yes I
am very big on respect. Without respect in the ring, there's too much drama
out of it.
Rick O'Shea: What are your short term and long term goals here in SFT?
Nick Kincaid: My short
term goals are really fitting in here. I know it can be done and I know I have
what it takes, but it's still a goal of mine. Long term goals... I'd say
getting victories over people like Lane, MacDaddy, Fireball, ICON, and - most
importantly - Dave Steel. Those are very long term goals, though.
Rick O'Shea: Not very people know of you, because you're so new here.
What is one thing people need to know about you? What is the biggest
impression you'd like to make with this open forum?
Nick Kincaid: I'd like people to know that I'm up for anything. I'll
face anybody, any show, any match. I really want to show that I am a versatile
person. I want to leave an impression on everybody in SFT and everybody who
watches SFT that I really am "The Near Future" of this company.
Rick O'Shea: Well Nick, I think you've done a great job of making your
impression with this interview. I'd like to thank you for joining me and I
wish you all the best in "the near future".
Nick Kincaid: Thanks for the opportunity.
Rick O'Shea: I have a feeling the next time we sit down, we'll be
talking about a some sort of title run. That's all the time we have for today
folks. Once again, this is Rick O'Shea with "The Near Future" Nick
Kincaid. Cya.
