WELCOME
Hello, and welcome to Strike Fantasy Towers. This page represents the rules and guidelines to follow as a member of SFT. These rules and guidelines serve to help provide both a fun and comfortable atmosphere while also giving every member of our roster a proper format with which to create wrestlers, roleplays, and storylines with other members. Before you apply, please be sure to read our rules so that you have a better understanding of how things are done here. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail any member of the staff and we will try to get to you as soon as possible.

WHAT SFT IS ALL ABOUT
SFT is an online wrestling federation (or e-fed for short) that focuses primarily on written roleplays (RPs). RPs are stories where you write about your wrestler(s). A standard RP has your wrestler living out his/her life the way you want him/her to while also discussing the upcoming match the wrestler has. Once a wrestling card listing the matches scheduled for the show is posted and finalized, it is the user's responsibility to write a certain number of RPs by the time limit (deadline) of the next show he or she is taking part in. Afterwards, the SFT staff judges both the quality AND the quantity of each wrestler's RPs and determines a winner via a voting process. After the show is posted, depending on whether your wrestler wins or loses, he/she will get placed in a ranking system showing the number of wins and losses. The more wins you earn, the better chance you have at getting a title shot. There are no material rewards to gain when RPing. This is simply a hobby for fans of writing, wrestling, or most likely both.

THE FORUM
1.) As a handler, you are responsible for any and all forum posts that you make under your username. Racial, religious, and sexually inappropriate remarks and/or images made towards other members is prohibited and will result in a suspension. I want the forums to be safe for members of all ages. Frequent incidents will ultimately lead to a permanent ban. It doesn't matter if you were drunk, if you were on "medication", if someone else posted under your username, or if you genuinely hate someone in the forum. It is your responsibility to keep the forum safe and comfortable for others to use.

2.) There will be no "flaming" or "trolling" the forum, jokingly or otherwise. These are terms used to describe situations where someone purposely goes off topic and makes a statement simply to make other users upset and angry. I have seen it occur multiple times on other forums, and I wish to put a stop to it in SFT. Multiple incidents caused by the same person will ultimately lead to a permanent ban. If I spot a post in any of the topic pages that I feel could potentially lead towards a "flame war", I will lock the page and issue warnings to all parties involved.

3.) Respect the staff members. They do their best to create shows and vote on matches in a fair manner, so please refrain from mocking or belittling them if one of them does something you do not like. If you have a problem with any of the staff members please E-mail or PM me and I will talk with them about it. All staff members should be treated the way you would want them to treat you. We are all human beings, and we all have moments of weakness, so let us all do our best to treat one another in a civilized manner.

4.) Do not spam the boards. When someone spams the boards they are either making repetitive posts, reviving old posts with off topic remarks, or are advertising other e-feds and companies in their posts. I do not allow any of the three to occur by anyone at anytime. If you wish to promote something in the forum you must get permission from me first before doing so. Continuous spamming will result in suspension and/or a permanent ban.

THE WRESTLERS
A] All Wrestlers are to be original. Therefore any wrestler submitted to the SFT that is copying (re: stealing) the name or gimmick of any real professional wrestler living or dead will not be accepted. For example, Shawn Michael's image can be used as a wrestler's picture in banners and card pictures, but your wrestler cannot call himself Shawn Michaels, wear HBK tights, and call himself "The Heartbreak Kid". There are other e-feds that allow the use of real wrestlers if that is what you prefer.

B] In order for a stable (a group of wrestlers united) to be created, there must be a minimum of three active wrestlers per stable. If you are under this minimum, you will be considered a tag team at best.

C] Because we are looking for realism in our e-fed, there are certain height and weight restrictions. The limit for each is 7'5" and 500 lbs. Any taller or heavier and the wrestler's contract will not be accepted.

ROLEPLAYS
A] It is important to make sure that your RP makes sense to the readers. Please check for spelling errors and that the grammar and punctuation is correct. The better your writing looks, the better chance you have of winning your matches.

B] The Roleplay Deadline for SFT Thursday Night Titans and future SFT Pay-Per-Views (PPVs) is Monday at 11:59pm EST. This will always be when the deadline is unless a staff member changes it for a specific reason. Be sure to check the Announcement Board and the OOC Board from time to time.

C] Roleplay to the best of your abilities. We are not all professional writers, and sometimes it can be hard for certain people to write at great length. We are not biased towards the length of the RPs. Sometimes a wrestler wins due to the amount of RPs he/she has written, but more often it is the style and the professionalism of the RP that wins the staff over.

D [revised as of 11/26] Roleplayers have the right to write what they wish. Sometimes it may be controversial, or downright inappropriate, but as a writer they are allowed to speak their mind and create a character that may or may not make blue collar remarks from time to time. If you have a problem with a word or an action that a roleplayer's character has said or done in a RP, please PM the handler with your concern and let him/her know what you find offensive. However, it is ultimately up to the handler whether or not something he has written stays in the RP. Also, remember that what you're writing is being judged by voters.

E] We do not allow "joint-roleplaying" in singles matchups. Joint roleplaying is when two people work together on a single RP. If you control more than one wrestler and wish to use both in a single RP you may, but it will only count towards one of their matches. Joint roleplaying can also be allowed when participating in a tag team match, but only with your partner. You are not allowed to get help from anyone outside the match.

F] [revised as of 02/26] The maximum number of roleplays a wrestler can post for a standard wrestling show each week is three. The maximum number of roleplays a wrestler can post for a PPV show is four. Roleplay limit for tag team matches are three per team. If you and your opponent(s) would like to set a higher or lower limit, and the terms are agreed upon, the staff may allow you to do so.

G] You may NEVER EVER use another person's wrestler(s) in your roleplays without their consent. Doing so will result in the following:

1st Offense-The roleplay not counting towards the match.
2nd Offense-Forfeit of the match to opponent(s)
3rd Offense-Temporary suspension from SFT.
4th Offense-Banned from SFT.

H] Roleplays are to be judged on the following:

  • Grammar

  • Spelling

  • Relevance to Match

  • Promo Ability

  • Creativity

  • Detail

While there is no perfect way to judge an RP, we are proud to have professional staff members who have spent years writing RPs and are able to determine outcomes based on experience. They do their best to pick out the best RPs fairly and without bias. But they are also human, and mistakes have and will be made. We hope that you can understand this and are able to cooperate with us during your stay here. A grade point system is in the works, but has not been finalized at this time.

I] The Sandbagging Rule: (added 11/12/11)

"Sandbagging" is when someone decides to wait until the last day to RP, and then posts two or more RPs for a cheap win. I don't care for it, and I want people to have fair wins. The rule states that if you wait until the last day, you can only post 1 RP MAX for your match. If you post more than one, those RPs will not count towards the match. It doesn't matter how many RPs the opponent posted throughout the week, 1 will be your limit.

THE SHOWS

A] The SFT cards are as follows:

  • Thursday Night Titans

  • Monthly Pay Per Views (PPVs)

B] Thursday Night Titans (TNT) is SFT's weekly show, and it will be where your wrestler will have his matches most of the time. SFT is a global company, so TNT can take place at any arena anywhere in the world. We have a calendar of events posted, so make sure that your RPs logically take your wrestler to the location of the events. Sometimes a title or two will be on the line at these events.

C] PPVs happen once per month, usually near the end of the month. Some, or all, of the titles will be on the line at each PPV. Your wrestler also earns extra points in our ranking system for wins that take place during PPVs. Please check the SFT Ranking Page for more information.

BOOKING MATCHES, SEGMENTS, AND INTERFERENCES
A] Requests for certain matches, segments, and interferences are to be submitted to any member of the staff as well as the owners via Private Messages (PMs) or E-Mail before the card is posted.

B] Segments and Interferences are to be sent in to the SFT owners and producer of the show prior to the deadline of that event. We highly recommend that you send a request to the owner of the company (Shadow) so that the request is not forgotten.

C] All Segments and Interferences need to be approved by the SFT owners before they can take place. If you do not RP for your match the segment or interference will not take place unless you provide a valid reason.

TITLE BELTS
A] There are currently Four SFT Titles a wrestler can win. Each title belt represents a division.

  • World Heavyweight Title (Main Event)

  • National Title (Mid-Upper Card)

  • Tag Team Titles (Low-Mid Card)

  • Hardcore Title (Low Card)

Holding one of these belts means that you are the top of your division and are ready to move on to the next division upon losing it. If you hold more than one title belt, you are required to relinquish the lower division belt. However, a wrestler is allowed to hold a singles title and the Tag Team Titles at the same time. A champion must defend his or her title belt within thirty days. If he/she fails to do so, that wrestler will be stripped of the title. Winning a title belt gives your wrestler extra points in your ranking. Please check the SFT Ranking Page for more information.

GENERAL INFORMATION
A] If you are to be absent and unable to RP for any reason please contact one of the staff members and we will provide a solution on how to write your wrestler(s) out of the shows.

B] If you have any problems with another member of the roster please discuss it with members of the staff. Try to leave the fighting out of the OOC Boards.

C] Nobody wins forever. Eventually your wrestler is going to lose a match. We respectfully request that you refrain from arguing and/or insulting our staff members when this occurs. You are allowed to ask how you were voted and why your opponent won, and our staff members will provide you with that information as best they can. Please be courteous and respectful about the situation, and you will be treated with the same level of cooperation. The staff works hard to put on a good show every week, and complaints about losing only make things harder on them. Disparaging the staff with heinous complaints hurts the wrestlers and the company as a whole.

D] Finally, enjoy your time with the Strike Fantasy Towers and have fun! We promise that it will be an experience you will never forget!
