WAR
September 2nd, 2005. Salt Lake City, Ut - Delta Center

The opening fireworks blast around the arena as the camera pans around, showing the capacity crowd in attendance, showing off all of their homemade signs and banners.

: Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen, and welcome to what could be a huge night here on SFT's Wednesday Night War. We have the man who currently holds 3 championship belts here in SFT, Brickcity B, taking on the former World Heavyweight Champion, Venom, as well as former Hardcore Champion Grizzly Z taking on Bane.

: That is all to come later though, we're kicking off tonight with a Triple Threat match featuring 3 people all with a lot to prove for various different reasons, it's gonna be Regina Eisley vs. Mr. Extreme vs. Rich Morrison, so without further ado, lets send it up to our ring announcer.

(Standard Match)

Announcer: Our first contest tonight is…

the ring announcer can say another word, the arena is plunged into total darkness, accompanied by the opening notes of Kid Rock's 'Cocky'.

: Oh God, what does he want now.

: Who cares, anything to do with this man has gotta be worth putting some inconsequential Triple Threat match on hold for, especially in light of what we saw last time on War involving Christian Cage and our new Producer, Erwin Van Wieren.

the music reaches it's first chorus, SFT's Director Of Talent Relations, Christian Cage strolls out onto the stage to a huge response from the crowd in attendance, who seem less than bothered that we aren't getting to the Triple Threat match just yet. Cage is wearing an open-neck white shirt and a black suit, and is carrying a microphone. Cage wanders down the ramp towards the ring, not looking in any particular hurry to get where he's going. Upon reaching the ring, he climbs up onto the apron and through the ropes, signalling to the sound guy to cut the music as he reaches the centre of the ring.

once, it seems like the whole arena is on Cage's side, as the music fades away to be replacing my near-deafening chants of 'Franchise, Franchise'. Cage waits patiently for the chants to subside before beginning to speak.

Cage: OK, I got two issues to deal with out here tonight, so lets get right to it. First up, this little Triple Threat match that's supposed to be happening right now, I got great news for you on that subject: The match is cancelled, since none of the three people involved bothered to show up, you get me instead, which I happen to think is a pretty damn good trade 'off.

, our lederhosen-wearing friend Mr Van Wieren was all in favour of just giving the three no-shows some kind of formal warning and a fine, but I really couldn't care less what he wants, so we're doing this my way, as I figure this is more of a Talent Relations thing anyway. So, as of right now Mr. Extreme, Regina Eisley and Rich Morrison: You're all FIRED!

unexpectedly, the fans cheer wildly at this announcement.

: Something tells me that may not go down too well with our producer.

: Yeah, like Christian Cage actually cares what that guy thinks.

Cage: So Erwin, if you got a problem with that, then you know where to find me, and I ain't gonna be hiding from you. Sooner or later, you will realise who's really running the show around here.

, onto a far more important order of business. Get your diaries out at home folks, because you are gonna want to write this one down. On October 30th, an event will occur which I know that each and every one of you has spent the last six months hoping and praying for. At SFT's October PPV Extravaganza, for one night only, 'The Franchise' Christian Cage will step into the ring for his first match since April, to face off for the first time ever against Nathan Gust!

: Oh My God, that's huge, we're gonna see Christian Cage wrestling again!

: And to think, when he came out here, you were annoyed because it looked like he was interrupting the Triple Threat match. I'd heard rumours about this in the locker room, but now I guess it's for real!

fans in attendance seem to share the commentators' enthusiasm for this, as the chants of 'Franchise, Franchise' once again echo around the arena.

business done, Cage climbs back through the ropes and heads back up the ramp as his music once again blasts over the PA System, although it's almost drowned out at first by the cheering and chanting.

: I think it's pretty fair to say that what just happened was a FAR better start to War than anything that the three people in the Triple threat match could have managed in the wildest dreams. Like Cage said, I think we got a pretty good trade-off.

Brickcity B versus Venom
(Standard Match)

: Well, lets just hope that the next match actually manages to provide just a little more actual wrestling action than that did, not that that would be vastly difficult.

: Yeah, this one has the potential to be very good indeed, we have the reigning SFT Television and Hardcore Champion, and of course one half of the SFT World Tag Team Champions, Brickcity B, taking on the former SFT World Heavyweight Champion, Venom.

Announcer: Ladies And Gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall with a 20-minute time limit. Introducing first, hailing from Lowell, Massachusetts, standing 6'7'' tall and weighing in at 305 lbs, he is a former SFT World Champion, VENOM!!!

intro to 'Get Back' by Ludacris plays over the PA System as the main arena lights are dimmed, punctuating by green and white flashes around the arena. The words 'Trust And Believe' appear on the video wall as Venom makes his way out onto the stage and down the ramp with a look of purpose in his eyes. As he reaches the ring, Venom climbs up onto the apron and over the top rope before turning to stare up the ramp as he awaits his opponent.

Announcer: His opponent, fighting out of Brickcity, New Jersey, weighing in at 220lbs, and standing 6' tall, he is the reigning SFT Hardcore and World Television Champion, and a co-holder of the SFT World Tag Team Championship, 'The Image' BRICKCITY B!!!

fades away to be replaced by the opening notes of Rage Against The Machine's 'Bulls On Parade', signalling the entrance of the only triple champion in SFT today. The fans are on their feet as Brickcity makes his way out from behind the curtain with the TV Title belt around his waist, and the Tag Team and Hardcore belts over his shoulders. Brickcity strolls slowly down the ramp, ignoring the huge negative reaction from the crowd and stopping periodically to make a big show of admiring all his title belts.

: It's pretty rare here in SFT to see one competitor hold 3 championships simultaneously.

: Of course, the last man to achieve that feat was the man we saw earlier, Christian Cage, when he held the World Heavyweight, Intercontinental and World Television Titles at the same time, which, if you don't mind my saying, is marginally more impressive than what B has right now.

: How much is Cage paying you for this stuff'

: No payment needed, the facts are right there. The combination of the two biggest titles in the fed and the title that Christian Cage turned from being worthless to being worth a hell of a lot…

: You mean the same belt that Brickcity has right there'

: Yeah, whatever, Brickcity may have it now, but we all know who made it mean something.

climbs into the ring and just barely has time to hand his three title belts over to the referee before he is assaulted by his much larger opponent.

: You have to remember what Brickcity went through at the PPV to win and keep all those belts, and now he's in there with a former World Champion, it's not exactly an easy ride, huh'

: That's just the way it should be, and while you're going on about how Venom is a former World Champion, just remember that he won the belt on a total fluke, and couldn't hold onto it more than a week.

: Yeah, a total fluke by beating your new best friend, Christian Cage!

: Just shut up and call the match.

has Brickcity pinned in a corner and is trying to nail him with punches, but the more agile Champion manages to block most, if not all, of them and slips under Venom's arm and out of the corner. Brickcity then nails the big man with a drop kick to the back, sending him crashing face-first into the turnbuckle virtually before he knows what's hit him. As Venom bounces back off the turnbuckle, B nails him with a double-arm DDT.

: Quick start from B here, it looks to me like he wants to get this done so that he can finally get some rest after the last few days.

climbs to the top rope and hits his trademark 'Skyline Fly' frog splash onto the prone Venom, hooking the leg for the cover as he lands.

!

!!

!!!

Winner: Brickcity B via pinfall.

: What a huge win for Brickcity B. These last few days have really done so much to put him right on the map here in SFT.

: Just remember though, it can all fall down so quickly, he's got a huge Hardcore Title defence against Nathan Gust next week, so that's one of his titles at risk right there.

: That's true, but right now he just seems content to enjoy this while it lasts.

referee hands B his title belts back, and he heads back up the ramp as his music plays…
