![]() Strike Fantasy Towers Wednesday Night War With RW and JC 12/14/05 Wednesday Night 10:00pm Live From Austin, Texas Sunken Gardens The music hits, the crowd goes wild, RW and JC take their places and WAR is ready to begin. . Damien Star vs. Sean Mason Standard Match
RW: It's good to see Sean Mason again. He returned last week.
JC: He did?
RW: Yeah, on Inferno.
JC: Oh. I don't watch Inferno.
[The camera goes to the ring, where Mason is waiting for his rookie opponent. As he stands in the middle of the ring facing the entryway, the lights go out.]
RW: Damn it! Not this again!
[When the lights come back on, Damien Star is standing behind Mason. Sean shrugs and he turns around to get a kick to the gut and Star sets him up for a powerbomb. He lifts Sean up in a crucifix position and then drops him right onto his head.]
JC: Oh snap.
RW: Damien goes for the cover...
JC: Eine... zwei... drei!
[The bell sounds and the referee tries to raise Damien's hand, but he pulls away and ducks out of the ring, leaving just as quickly as he appeared.]
Winner: Damien Star Jay Gamble and Nick Kincaid vs. Scenefades Tag Title Match
JC: Did you know that this is the first Tag Team Title defense since Hallowed Ground?
RW: Wow... that sucks...
JC: I know. At least we finally get to see the titles again.
RW: I forgot we had Tag Team Titles. Heh.
["Raise Hell" by (hed) P.E. starts to play and the crowd give a mixed reaction. Blue and green lights flash as Jay Gamble and the U.S. Champion Nick Kincaid walk out onto the stage with Johnny Legend following them. The two men walk straight to the ring without looking at the crowd and Legend points to all the hate signs towards the group. The three men enter the ring and stand in the center of the ring next to the ring announcer. As he lifts the mic, Legend grabs it away.]
Johnny Legend: In the ring first... the newest and hottest team in Strike Fantasy Towers... they weigh in tonight at an even five-hundred pounds... the reigning United States Heavyweight Champion "The Near Future" Nick Kincaid... the future king of Strike Fantasy Towers "Unable to Handle" Jay Gamble... PHaT CHaNCe!!
[The two men jump to the turnbuckle and raise their arms in the air as their theme music fades away. They jump down as "Pistol Grip Pump" by Rage Against the Machine starts up. Without any flare, Brickcity B walks out onto the stage with both Tag Team Titles over his shoulders. As he walks down the ramp, Legend just watches. He shrugs and raises the mic.]
Johnny Legend: And now... representing the World Tag Team Champions... he weighs in at 220 pounds... "The IMAGE" Brickcity B!
[The fans go wild and B slides into the ring. He sighs and his music goes down. He steps to the center of the ring and takes Legend's mic, then turns to PHaT CHaNCe.]
Brickcity B: After a glorious three month reign, Saga and I are giving up these titles. They have been good to us, but every great thing comes to an end.
[He slides the titles down his arms and extends them to Jay and Nick, who take them and look at them for a moment.]
Brickcity B: I hope SFT treats you boys better than they did me...
[B turns around and starts to walk away, but Jay stands between him and the ropes. The two men drop their titles and Jay asks him to stay. With B distracted, Nick gets B in the back of the head with 'Shockwave'. Jay catches him and delivers 'Wanna Gamble'. With B down, the two men grab their titles and raise them high in the air. The fans cheer, but not for them. Saga comes running down the ramp with a chair. He slides into the ring and take Legend out with the chair before brawling with Gamble and Kincaid. He knocks Jay down with a clothesline and takes Nick out with 'El Conquistador' before Jay gets back to his feet. Jay goes for another 'Wanna Gamble', but Saga counters out of it and drops him with 'Impulse'. He then helps B up, picking up the microphone at the same time.]
Saga: The final curtain call for Scenefades and we leave this ring standing and unbeaten, just as it should be. We have much better plans... elsewhere...
["Pistol Grip Pump" plays again and they leave the ring, walking up the ramp without the Tag Team Titles.]
JC: So... PHaT CHaNCe are the Tag Team Champions?
Winner: Jay Gamble and Nick Kincaid RW: That's what it seems like.JC: Wow. What a way for this to all go down...
Nirvana vs. Kyle Murphy Non Title Standard Match
RW: OK, it’s now time for our next huge match here no Wednesday Night War, and this is one that has all the potential to steal the show.
JC: That’s right Randy, we’re going to see the new King Of The Death Match, Nirvana, taking on the man who came oh-so-close to becoming SFT World Heavyweight Champion just a few days ago, and that of course is Kyle Murphy.
RW: Two men who will both want to prove their points here tonight. Nirvana will be looking to maintain his momentum as he heads towards his huge showdown with Havoc at Everything Ends, and Murphy will be looking for a huge win to press his case for a straight shot at whoever walks away from that one as the World Champion.
JC: Enough with the talking Randy, let’s send this one up to our Ring Announcer, Jonathan Knight and get the action underway.
The camera moves to focus on the entrance stage as we hear Jonathan Knight’s voice echo across the arena:
Jonathan Knight: Ladies and Gentlemen, the following non-title contest is scheduled for one fall with no time limit. Introducing first, standing 6’4’’ tall, weighing in at 236lbs, he is a former SFT Heavyweight Champion of The Wooooorrrrllld, NIRVANA!!!
“He’s gonna get you…”
He’s gonna kill you…”
“He’s gonna make you pay…”
“Hurt” by Johnny Cash begins to play over the PA System as the StrikeTron is filled with images of tombstones while Jeff King’s voice booms over top of the music. The lights in the arena dim as the StrikeTron changes to show pictures of a morgue, all to a very mixed reaction from the crowd in attendance. The images on the screen become ever more horrific, showing human bodies ripped to pieces, and others rotting away, covered in maggots. The reaction from the crowd becomes more negative as each image is shown, building to a crescendo of boos as the pictures fade away and bright golden light shines down on the entrance stage.
“Run from the Lord of SFT, it’ll do you good”
The lights in the arena simultaneously change to a deep and eerie green as Jeff King and Ms. Black step out into the arena. King is wearing an old-fashioned suit, his mostly grey hair parted to the side and greased into place. We can see that he has a tight grip on Ms. Black’s hand as he smiles to the crowd with a combination of a salesman’s pizzazz and a shark’s killer instinct in equal measures.
Once again, the StrikeTron begins to flash with images, this time showing such things as a traditional family eating a meal around a dinner table, then the same family watching TV together while the kids enjoy their toys, although none of the people in the images seem to be happy in any way, all of their eyes are dull, and they all appear generally sullen and devoid of life. King makes his way towards the ring, spinning his cane and doffing his hat to the fans, all of which is greeted with ever-louder booing. Once he has climbed into the ring, he slowly removes his suit a piece at a time before climbing the far turnbuckles and taunting the fans with his cane before depositing outside the ring and sharing a passionate kiss with Ms. Black.
After the kiss, Ms. Black leaves the ring as the music slowly fades away, leaving Jeff to focus on the match. Before it can start however, King lifts his hands to the sides of his face and begins to tear at his skin with his fingernails until he draws blood. King then licks the blood from his hands in one last act of sin before the match begins.
RW: I know I say it a lot, but that entrance really does freak me out every single time I watch it, the man is just so damn compelling.
Jonathan Knight: His opponent, fighting out of Greenwich, Connecticut, standing 6’5’’ tall and weighing 275lbs, he is the reigning SFT Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion, ‘The Superior One’ KYLE MURPHY!!!
The trademark opening beats of Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” blast over the PA System as Murphy emerges from the locker room. Contrary to his usual slow-paced strut to the ring, Murphy tears down the ramp like an Olympic athlete and rips into his opponent with a flurry of lefts and rights as the music fades and the referee calls for the bell.
RW: What a start by Kyle Murphy! If he feels like he has some kind of point to prove, then he’s going the right way about doing it.
JC: I don’t think it’s just that Randy, this is a man who came within a hair’s breadth of the World Heavyweight Title last week, and to come that close to something so huge yet fall agonisingly short has obviously proved to be a huge motivation, and Kyle probably doesn’t care too much who or what he has to go through to get another chance at that thing which has eluded him for so long here in SFT.
RW: If he carries on like this, there’s no way on Earth that the management of SFT can deny him another shot for too long.
In the ring, Murphy has Nirvana backed into a corner and is raining down a series of lefts and rights on his opponent, seemingly less concerned about accuracy than he is about throwing as much as he can in as short a time as possible. Eventually though, this approach costs him as Nirvana is able to dodge more and more of his wild swings and eventually extricate himself from the corner sufficiently to catch Kyle under the jaw with a side kick, staggering the Intercontinental Champion long enough for Nirvana to move back into the centre of the ring and level the playing field somewhat.
RW: Right in the opening moments, we’re seeing exactly the kind of effect that Nirvana’s feet can have.
JC: They may just be two of the deadliest weapons in SFT today, discounting Rumpke’s beer-breath of course.
RW: You’re just pissed off because he beat your best buddy Christian Cage!
JC: Shut up and call the match.
Back in the ring, both men are being a little more tentative now, each have felt the others power in the early going, but it is Kyle who makes the first attempt at seizing an advantage with a clothesline which sends Nirvana crashing to the mat, nearly decapitating him in the process.
RW: What impact from Kyle Murphy! It doesn’t matter who you are, when he starts throwing his weight around like that you’re gonna know about it.
Kyle follows up with an elbow to the sternum, driving the air out of Nirvana before bouncing off of the ropes and trying for a leg-drop, but Nirvana manages to roll out of the way, sending Kyle crashing to the mat, ass-first.
JC: Ouch, that’s gonna hurt a bit.
RW: It’s just lucky for Nirvana that Kyle didn’t connect, because the match would have been over for sure if he had.
JC: What are you talking about? It was only a damn leg-drop.
RW: You know how it is John, no-one ever kicks out of a leg-drop, it’s one of those unwritten laws of wrestling, it’s like the move just seems to have some kind of strange power or something. I don’t make the rules, it’s just one of those weird facts of life.
JC: I think you wanna be back on the tablets Randy.
RW: I am still on the tablets.
JC: In that case, you wanna be off the tablets.
Kyle slowly climbs to his feet, rubbing his ass, trying to get some feeling back into it (nice image, huh?) as Nirvana waits for the right moment for his follow up move, a vicious kick to the back of Kyle’s calf that makes the IC Champ wince in pain.
RW: That’s those feet again; they’ve always been a big difference maker for Nirvana, throughout his career.
JC: You’re just jealous because the only time you have chance to do damage like that with YOUR feet is if someone gets exposed to the smell of the damn things.
Nirvana, sensing the chance to build on his advantage, circles Murphy, looking for a suitable angle from which to launch another kick, this time aiming at the head, but this time Kyle is able to dodge the bullet and drive Nirvana back down to the mat with a sharp spinebuster, which he follows up by dragging the former World Champion to his feet and whipping him sternum-first into the nearest turnbuckle, then catching him with a German Suplex on the rebound.
RW: Looks like Murphy is getting into his rhythm now, and that could be a very dangerous thing for Nirvana. If he wants to get back into this match, he needs to find a way of doing it pretty quickly, he can’t allow Kyle to build too much momentum here.
Kyle once again brings Nirvana to his feet before whipping him into the ropes and trying for a clothesline, which Nirvana is able to duck. Murphy turns around and charges at Nirvana for another try, but Nirvana is able to once again dodge out of the way and grab the top rope, pulling it down and using Murphy’s own momentum to send him crashing to the mats that surround the ring.
RW: Clever move there from Nirvana, he used Kyle’s own momentum to his advantage and could have a big chance to swing the match right in his favour here.
Nirvana slides out of the ring and waits for Murphy to climb to his feet before catching him with a crescent kick to the back of the head.
ONE!
Stunned and on his knees, Murphy is somehow able to block an attempt at a Shining Wizard from Nirvana and sends the Lord of SFT crashing knee-first into the steel ring steps.
TWO!
Sensing a chance to regain the upper hand, Kyle drags Nirvana to his feet and lifts the former World Champion high above his head in a gorilla press position.
THREE!
As Kyle considers his next move, Nirvana is able to slip out of the back door and land on his feet behind Murphy, capitalising on the IC Champion’s brief confusion with a fierce kick to the back of Kyle’s left knee.
FOUR!
Nirvana aims another kick at Kyle’s legs, but Murphy spins around and grabs his foot in mid-air before launching him overhead with a Belly-To-Belly suplex.
FIVE!
Murphy follows up his suplex with a leg drop across Nirvana’s throat before dragging him once again to his feet and pulling him up the entrance ramp by his hair.
SIX!
Murphy puts Nirvana’s head between and signals for his Celtic Cross Powerbomb on the steel ramp, but hesitates just a split-second too long before starting the move, which allows Nirvana to nail him with a low blow.
SEVEN!
Stunned from the low blow, Kyle is easy prey for the series of left and right hands that Nirvana throws at him as the two continue to fight on the ramp.
EIGHT!
Kyle fights back with lefts and rights of his own, but neither man is able to gain any kind of concrete advantage, and certainly neither is aware of the referee’s count.
NINE!
Kyle finally realises what is happening and starts to drive Nirvana back towards the ring with a further hail of punches, but it’s all in vain.
TEN!
The referee calls for the bell as the realisation fully hits both men that their chance for victory in the match has just gone. After a split second pause, both men opt to continue their brawl back up the ramp and ultimately out of the main arena into the locker room area.
RW: What a match we have just witnessed, it’s just a shame that we couldn’t get a winner, but somehow I doubt we’ve seen the last of this conflict.
Winner: Draw JC: This time though, both men’s intense desire for victory ironically ended up costing them the chance to obtain it.
WINNER: No-one, due to a double count out.
Radiant vs. Saint Jude Heaven to Hell match
Two cages are lowered from the ceiling.
JC: They are enormous!
"Ring Of Fire" by Johnny Cash starts to play and Saint Jude walks out from backstage. He walks down to the ring and gets in before the cages are fully down. Now that they are, "Got Me Wrong" by Alice In Chains starts up and Radiant comes out to a chorus of cheers. He runs down to the ring and enters through the door of the cage. Jude looks in awe at the cage while Radiant waits in his corner. The cages are now in place and both men just stare at each other for what seems an eternity. The bell rings and they circle the ring. Radiant makes the first move, hitting a chop on Jude. Jude fires right back with a European uppercut. Radiant back with a clothesline. Radiant showing no emotion whatsoever. Radiant throws Jude into the ropes and as Jude bounces back Radiant flips Jude into the side of the steel cage as the the whole cage just rattles.
RW: Radiant is showing off his vicious side.
Jude slowly gets up and Radiant now with a superkick and nails Jude right in the face. Jude goes down hard. Radiant covers but only gets a 2 count. Radiant is up, but Jude somehow manages a dragon leg whip to bring Radiant down next to him, now Jude with a elbow slam on Radiant. Jude grabs Radiant and hits a suplex.
JC: Jude making a slow comeback
Jude now with a sidewalk slam, he goes for a pin.
RW: One count... Radiant kicks out!
Jude with a DDT, followed quickly by a neckbreaker, Jude quickly covers and the ref counts.
Ref: 1.. 2.. NO!
JC: He kicked out again.
RW: Jude now seems to be back in control.
Jude now with an inverted Russian leg sweep, but does not cover, he climbs the ropes for a swan dive head butt, at the top of the turnbuckle Jude does the cross sign over himself and flies, and connect squarely.
JC: I think that hurt Jude as much as it did Radiant.
Jude now rolls on his stomach puts a hand onRadiants chest, the ref finally realizing this match cannot be won via pinfall tells both men they need to get up to the second tier.
RW: Yeah I was just wondering why these guys were going for pinfalls, we don't even need a ref in this match.
Jude is the first to get up and climb up to the second tier ring. He waits patiently sitting crosslegged resting against the ropes.
Radiant slowly makes his way to the second ring and just as hes about to get in when Jude gets up and does a baseball slide right into Radiants face. Radiant tumbles down but is somehow able to find a way to hang on to the ladder, he staggers into the second tier. Jude goes for an elbow drop but Radiant was just playing possum as he rolls out of the way and Jude hits nothing but cage.
JC: This match is proving to be quite the chaotic event.
Radiant slowly gets up as does Jude. Radiant with a quick diamond cutter on Jude. Now Radiant grabs Jude by the waist and tries to climb to the top of the second ring but Radiant is too tired and he falls down with Jude still in arm and they hit the cage, both men lay there for what seems forever they begin to come back to life but slowly.
RW: I think both men are out of it, if they get to the top of the second ring, a swift breeze could knock either man down.
Jude gets up slowly and doesn't even bother with Radiant and just starts to climb up to the top of the second tier ring. Radiant gets up there too only to be met by a baseball slide by Jude, Radiant rolls onto the ring, Jude with a powerbomb as the whole cages shake. Jude makes it up above the 2nd tier and just lays down tired as hell. Radiant slowly gets up and makes the climb, he too sits down, Jude sits up and they look at each other. They smile as they get up, Jude runs at Radiant and they get tangled up. Radiant goes over the side, but Jude has Radiant caught by the arms, Radiant screams for Jude to let go, but Jude wont, cant. Jude tries to pull Radiant up, but he's too heavy. Just too heavy. And finally both men succumb to gravity and both fall together to the cement as both men lay there motionless.
JC: Jude tried to save Radiant but ending up falling alongside him, fitting I guess. No saving the unsaveable.
Winner: Draw
WAR ends with paramedics attending both Jude and Radiant. |
