![]() Strike Fantasy Towers Wednesday Night War With JC and RW 01/04/05 Wednesday Night 10:00pm Live From Pasadena, California Rena Mass Arena JC: For Randy White, I’m John Cartwright welcoming you to a huge edition of SFT’s Wednesday Night War.
RW: Good evening folks, we have some huge action tonight, topped of with Connor MacDaddy defending his SFT Hardcore Title against the current TV Champion, Benny Navarro Jr.
JC: Forget that, the match I’m most looking forward to will see two great former SFT World Champions collide in a huge non-title match, it’s Johnny Legend vs. Nirvana, right here tonight.
RW: Before any of that though, we have a match between two people looking to get their careers back on the right tracks after recent setbacks as Precious takes on The Guyver.
JC: That’s right Randy, just last week, Precious lost her TV belt to Benny Navarro, and two weeks ago at Everything Ends. Guyver lost to Venom for the vacant US Heavyweight Title, so both have it all to prove tonight.
RW: Let’s send it up to our Ring Announcer, Jonathan Knight, and get this action started. Precious vs. The Guyver Standard Match
Jonathan Knight: Ladies and Gentlemen, our opening contest here tonight is scheduled for one fall, with a 15-minute time limit. Introducing first, hailing from Greenwich, Connecticut, she is a former 2-Time SFT Television Champion, PRECIOUS!!!
TLC’s “I’m Good At Being Badd” blasts over the PA System as Precious makes her way out into the arena to a mixed reaction from the crowd in attendance. Making her way down the ramp, Precious looks relaxed and confident. Upon reaching the ring, she puts one leg up on the apron, followed by the other one in a “splits” motion and then slides her head and torso under the bottom rope before standing to await her opponent.
JC: I could watch that entrance all night long.
Jonathan Knight: Introducing her opponent, fighting out of Los Angeles, California, he stands 6’8’’ and 280lbs, THE GUYVER!!!
“Won” by Fuel hits on the PA System as The Guyver makes his way out onto the stage to cheers from the fans. He makes his way quickly down the ramp and slides into the ring; climbing up onto one of the turnbuckles to salute the fans as his music slowly fades away.
Unfortunately for Guyver, he poses just a little too long, and apparently doesn’t hear the opening bell sound. Even more unfortunately for him, Precious hears it loud and clear and runs across the ring to nail him with a hard kick right to the crown jewels, sending him crashing backwards to the mat in a heap, whereupon Precious rolls him up:
ONE!
TWO!!
THREE!!!
RW: What a start to War. I know it’s only January 4th, but you’re gonna have to go some way to see a quicker match than that in 2006!
JC: I guess Guyver learned the hard way to pay more attention to your opponent than to the fans, and it has cost him in a huge way here tonight.
Precious’ music starts up again as she celebrates in the ring, while The Guyver rolls around on the mat, trying to rub some feeling back into his “grapefruits”.
Winner: Precious Nirvana vs. Johnny Legend Standard match
"Creep" by Radiohead slowly fades in - a voice comes on and says, "Bow Down Blockheads!"
BAM! BAM! BAM!
Fireworks go off ontop of the ramp. "Creep" by Radiohead really kicks in, as the mist slowly fades away from the fireworks. Suddenly, Johnny Legend walks through the mist. Sporting flashy purple tights and jacket... Johnny Legend rubs his World title, as he stands ontop of the ramp.
"Coming down to the ring at this time, (Legend walks down the ramp) weighing in at 200 pounds, hailing from Fire Island, New York... JOHNNY LEGEND!" Amanda Summers says into the mic.
Johnny Legend slowly walks up the steps, and gives a few words to the fans... Some unkind words. He then gets into the ring and steps into the middle... Fireworks burst to the sides of the ring - Legend turns slowly around in a full circle and shows his winning smile. The mist clears after a few seconds, and Johnny Legend takes his jacket off - then his World title, which he just tosses to the ringside staff. Legend then awaits his opponent.
"He's gonna get you... "
"He's gonna kill you you..."
"He's gonna make you pay..."
Jihnny Cash's "Hurt" hits the PA as images of tombstones appear on the striketron and Kings voice booms. The crowd begins to shout as the arena goes black and pictures of a morgue appear on the striketron. Pictures of bodies ripped apart, bodies crawling with maggots, etc. As the fans begin to boo a light shines onto the ramp as the pictures on the jumbotron change to a big grey screen.
"Run from the Lord of SFT, it'll do you good"
Suddenly the arena goes deep green as "Hurt" continues to play on the pa and a golden spotlight illuminates the entranceway. the crowd begins to chant bloody murder as blood rises from the ramp way, and Jeff King And Ms.Black step out from behind the apron. Jeff if decked out in a fancy, old fashioned suit, hair parted off to the side, and greased down. He's Holding Ms.Black's hand. He smiles to the crowd with all the pizazze of a salesman, but with the personality of a shark. Comfortable, yet slightly unsettling images display on the jumbotron, Traditional families eating traditional dinners, watching traditional television, playing with traditional toys...but nobody looks happy. They all have a sullen-eyed look about them which underlies the true feelings inside of them. Jeff makes his way to the ring, spinning his cane, and doffing his hat to the fans, who, in turn, boo him. Climbing into the ring, he removes his suit, revealing his wrestling gear beneath it. He goes to the to the back turnbuckle and taunts the fans with his cane, which he drops outside the ring as he shares a passionate kiss with Ms.Black.
She leaves the ring as his music dies down, before the match starts he puts his hands on the sides of his face and tears at the skin. He stops when the blood starts to appear on his hands and smiles as he holds his hands up for the bloodthirsty crowd. He licks the blood from his hands in one last act of sin.
The bell rings and Legend starts it off with a quick shoulder block followed by a DDT. He goes for a quick surprise cover and manages a 2 count. But Nirvana does kick out in time. Legend for an elbow drop off the ropes but Nirvana rolls out of the way.
RW: Legend almost won that one quickly.
JC: Yeah but it’ll take allot more to end Nirvana tonight.
Nirvana now with a back kick then a vertical side kick. Nirvana with a crossface as he gets a 2 count on Legend. Nirvana hooks in his Devil’s Lock as Legend fights for as long as he can but finally submits as the ref rings the bell and makes Nirvana break the hold.
Nirvana simply walks away without so much as looking back at Legend.
Winner: Nirvana RW: OK folks, it’s time for our Main Event for the evening, and the last match to take place on an SFT Wednesday Night War event for the foreseeable future. It’s been decided that, due to roster cutbacks, it is no longer viable to have three shows per week, so War will be going on a temporary hiatus.
Connor MacDaddy vs. Benny Navarro Jr. Hardcore Title match
JC: Lets just hope that we can go out with a bang, as we see the reigning SFT Hardcore Champion, Connor MacDaddy, put his gold on the line against a man who has been making a lot of waves here in SFT just lately, and only last week, became the SFT World Television Champion, and that of course is Benny Navarro Jr.
RW: Let’s see if Benny can continue his good form and add some more gold to his collection, although he’ll have to go through one of the most decorated superstars in SFT history if he wants to do.
JC: I can see that Navarro is already waiting in the ring, so lets send it up one more time to our Ring Announcer, Jonathan Knight.
Jonathan Knight: Ladies and Gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall, with no time limit, and will be fought under Anything Goes rules for the SFT Hardcore Championship!
In the ring is the challenger; he is the reigning SFT World Television Champion, BENNY NAVARRO JR!!!
Navarro removes the TV Title belt from around his waist, hands to the referee and raises his arms in the air to acknowledge the crowd, whose reaction to him is split pretty much 50/50.
Jonathan Knight: Introducing his opponent, fighting out of Boston, Massachusetts, standing 6’5’’ and weighing 265lbs, he is the reigning and defending Strike Fantasy Towers Hardcore Champion, CONNOR MACDADDY!!!
“Mack Daddy” by Sir Mix-A-Lot begins to blast over the PA System to huge cheers from the crowd in attendance, which only intensify as the trademark Red X pyro explodes over the entrance stage. As the song hits its first chorus, Connor MacDaddy makes his way out onto the stage with his Hardcore Title belt gleaming around his waist. As he makes his way down the ramp, Connor pauses periodically to give thumbs up to the ringside fans, all to even more huge cheers.
Connor slides underneath the bottom rope into the ring climbs each of the four turnbuckles, making his trademark X-Sign at the top of each. Once he has climbed down from the last turnbuckles, Connor removes his title belt and hands it to the referee, who raises it high in the air before giving his final instructions to both men as Connor’s music fades away.
RW: No doubt who the fans favourite is here.
JC: Definitely not, but he may be in for a rough ride against a man who has looked very impressive in SFT thus far, culminating in his defeat of Precious last week for the TV belt.
Back in the ring, the referee signals for both man to head back to their corners as he calls for the bell, but Connor instead takes the opportunity to Pearl Harbor the unsuspecting Navarro with a forearm smash to the back of his neck as he tries to make it back to his corner. Connor then spins the stunned TV Champion around and bounces his head off of the mat with a thunderous DDT.
RW: A great start here from Connor, although you have to question the ethics of it.
JC: Who cares about the ethics, he’s doing whatever needs to be done to keep a hold out that belt while expending as little energy as he possibly can.
Connor backs up a step or two and waits for the groggy Navarro to climb up before moving into position to lock on his trademark “Boston Strangler” submission hold, a variation of the judo hold known as a katahajime.
Navarro fights as hard as he can as the oxygen flow to his brain is cut off, but is eventually forced to slump to the mat, allowing Connor to finalise the hold by locking in a body scissors, rendering his opponent totally immobile. The referee checks on him, and swiftly calls for the bell before any irreversible damage is done.
RW: What a huge win for Connor MacDaddy! He holds on to his Hardcore Title and shows Benny Navarro that, as good as he may be, he still has a way to go to match up with the very top men in this fed.
JC: With Connor in that kind of form, it’s gonna take a superhuman effort for anyone to take that Hardcore Championship away from him.
As soon as he hears the bell, Connor releases the hold and raises his arms in triumph as the referee hands him his belt back and his music once again begins to play.
Winner: Connor MacDaddy
RW: Well folks, that’s gonna do it for tonight, and for who knows how long as far as War is concerned. For John Cartwright, I’m Randy White saying goodnight one last time from SFT Wednesday Night War.
JC: Goodnight folks.
We focus on Connor MacDaddy celebrating in the ring as the EMT’s rush down to attend to Navarro before the closing credits roll for what may be the last time.
FADEOUT…
