Wednesday Night War With Phil Stevens and Steven Phillips 07/16/08 Live From Toyota Center - Houston, Texas Just like last week the show opens in the office of the returning Superior Staffer Anthony Jesus. He is looking at the camera and begins to talk.
Anthony Jesus: Last week in my return I shook things up. I took two guys who's opponents no showed in one way or another and through them against each other. By the way, my apologies to Brass and Twilight on the fast countout, but some times an example needs to be made. Last week I made sure everyone knew who's in charge and running the show and as far as War goes it is I who runs the roost. I have two announcements to make. First of all Johnathan Templeton will not be here tonight on War. So the triple threat match is now a one on one. Last week I told a certain somebody if they didn't smarten up something drastic would happen. And Sara Pettis did not smarten up as she has decided to not show up again here on War for her match. Guyver you get the 'W'.
The Guyver vs. Sara Pettis Standard Match
The Guyver Anthony Jesus: Sara, I don't understand what your problem is here. You are a Pettis! Your father is Amp and your uncle is Michael. Not to mention your momma was one of the greatest, not just female but all around, wrestlers ever. You add growing up with Aj Nin Red Rum as your father figure. You come from pure greatness but you show none. Michael taught me everything I know about running a wrestling company. Yes you may not have come from his sack directly but you might as well have. I told you last week you are a disappointment to the name Pettis, hell even Schorg. Your a little girl in a big man's world so next week on War your going to face a big man, a man who was taught by your father how to be a great wrestler, that being "The Icon" "The Legend" Big T. And you will be there for the punishment, I will make sure of so. See you next week Sara and oh yeah, I will be special referee for that match. Other than that the Summer of War continues tonight here in Houston, Texas and tonight we feature Kyle Murphy defending the US Title against TK Money and a 2nd round tag title tournament match. Have a beer and enjoy the show!! The scene cuts to the arena as pyro starts shooting off from everywhere and we go ringside to Steve and Phil. Steve: Last week on War was off the chain with the returns of The Guyver and former Owner of SFT Anthony Jesus; who immediately got back to what he did so well for so long and thats run this house better than everyone else! Phil: Very good to have him back in SFT and better for us he's running War. To bad we don't get to see Guyver wrestle here tonight but next week he'll hopefully get a better opponent. Steve: Summer of War kicked off nicely last week and continues here tonight in Houston, Texas! Phil: Then lets kick off the action with The Lion versus Dameon! The Lion vs. Dameon Standard Match The Lion is in the ring as the beginning riffs of "Mask of Sanity" begin to ring throughout the arena. The lights dim, blue and white strobe lights flash around the entrance while smoke fills the whole stage. The beat picks up as the lights turn from their original nice colors to a darker red much like blood. Dameon bursts through the curtains with kendo stick in hand, using the kendo stick as almost a shade he peers out into the audience taking in all the boos and cheers as fuel for his match. Dameon begins to saunter down the ramp pointing his kendo stick around at different fans, as he reaches the halfway point of the ramp the lights in the arena come back on. Dameon starts to make his way around the ring, he spies a few fans holding random signs and screaming his name, he walks over to them and grabs a couple of shoulders, pulling himself up on the guard rail, the fans cheer, showing their appreciation to a wrestler that acknowledges them. Dameon jumps down from the guardrail, turns to the ring, slides in, and works his way to the far corner, and sets his kendo stick down on the apron for safe keeping. He then begins to loosen up his wrists while crouching in the corner waiting for his match to begin.
Steve: These two are going to put on a hell of a show.
This idiocy at ringside is broken up by the ringing of the bell. Dameon promptly pounces out of his crouch in the corner and takes down The Lion with a double leg. He begins raining down lefts and rights on The Lion, who tries to cover up as he grabs Dameon in the guard. Dameon seems to punch himself out, and tries to separate Lion's legs from around his waist. The Lion takes this opportunity to grab Dameon's by the back of the head and give him a headbutt. As Dameon reels, still in the guard, The Lion takes his legs off from around Dameon's waist and gets to his feet.
Phil: You know, this is pretty scary out here.
Steve: What? How?
Phil: Yeah, we've got The Lion and The Beast right there in the ring. Oh my!
Steve: ... You, my friend, are a moron.
Dameon, still on his knees, suddenly explodes up with a hard clothesline that slams The Lion to the mat. Dameon pushes himself to his feet as The Lion rolls to his stomach, holding his head. Dameon quickly begins to stomp The Lion, who rolls out of the ring. Lion quickly grabs Dameon's leg as he misses another stomp, and pulls him under the bottom rope. Lion sends Dameon hard into the security railing, back first. He follows this up by grabbing him by the back of the head and slamming his face into the ring apron.
Steve: Ouch!
Phil: You can say that again!
Immediately the Lion rolls Dameon into the ring and slides into a cover. Dameon pushes him off bench press style, almost sending The Lion right back out of the ring. The Lion dives at Dameon as "The Beast" turns to his stomach, and drops an elbow to the back of his head. As Dameon gets to his feet, The Lion runs to the ropes, but runs himself right into a big boot from Dameon.
Steve: Ooh! I hope The Lion likes the taste of shoe leather!
Phil: Well, I don't know! He's The Lion, not "The Goat!"
Dameon follows up quickly, hitting The Lion with a powerbomb and rolling through into a jacknife pin.
Steve: Quick pin by Dameon!
Phil: Will this be enough?!
1... 2...
The Lion bridges out at two, twists his body around to get himself to his feet, and takes Dameon over with a backslide.
1... 2...
Dameon rolls out of the backslide before the three, quickly getting back to his feet. The Lion gets up, frustrated, but offers Dameon his hand to shake after the good exchange. Dameon answers with a hard right to the face, sending The Lion staggering back to the ropes. Dameon then clotheslines The Lion over the top rope to the floor and climbs out after him.
Steve: Uh-oh!
Phil: Back out of the ring we go!
Out on the floor, Dameon grabs The Lion and sets him in position for another powerbomb. This time he hits a version of the Krosstika, driving The Lion back first on to the security wall!
Steve: Oh my Lord! That was some straight up viciousness right there!
Phil: And you've got to love that, Steve! That's what makes him The Beast, and that's why he's undefeated since returning to SFT!
Dameon rolls the motionless body of The Lion into the ring, slides in, and goes quickly into the lateral press.
1... 2... shoulder up!
Showing his frustration, Dameon slams the mat with both fists as The Lion rolls away from him. Dameon growls angrily, but stays on the offense. He pulls The Lion near the corner, then hits him with a Russian legsweep into the turnbuckle!
Steve: Ohhhh! Russian legsweep into the turnbuckle!
Phil: Ya' think our World Champ ever thought a Russian legsweep would be used like that, Steve?!
Dameon quickly pulls The Lion to his feet, grabs a front facelock, and hits THE GALLOW'S END!
Steve: Gallow's End! The Gallow's End to The Lion!
Phil: That's gotta be it!
Instead of going for the pin, Dameon turns The Lion to his stomach again. The Beast gestures around his waist, then applies THE FRAGILE X right in the middle of the ring!
Steve: Oh no! Not The Fragile X, too!
Phil: The Lion looks completely unresponsive, Steve! I think The Gallow's End knocked him out!
Steve: Well, if that's the case, the referee needs to stop this thing!
Phil: He's checking on him, Steve!
The referee lifts The Lion's free arm, which drops lifelessly back the mat. Deciding that The Lion is out, he calls for the bell.
Steve: There's the bell! This one is over!
Phil: Is that by knockout or submission there, Steve?
Steve: I don't know. What difference does it make?
Dameon
Dameon stands up after his hard fought victory against, The Lion, pumping himself up a little more he slides out of the ring, lifts up the apron and pulls out an eight-foot ladder, at this point a giant smile crosses his face. Tilting his head ever so slightly Dameon looks towards the ring, as he begins to slide the ladder under the bottom rope into the ring.
Phil: What is Dameon planning, now?
Steve: He settled down on Breakdown, and didn't do anything after his match, but he is ready to break that trend here tonight.
Dameon then slides into the ring himself look down at the still out, Lion, laughing mildly, Dameon then sets up the ladder in the corner, leaving it leaning up against the turnbuckle, hoisting Lionel high above his head in the familiar crucified position Dameon hurls Lionel with all his strength at the ladder bouncing him off the upper section and sending him tumbling outside of the ring and violently bouncing off the mat.
Steve: HOLY HELL! THAT WAS VICIOUS!!! Not to mention the Lion is way bigger than Dameon, some freakish strength.
Phil: The Beast is sure making a point here tonight... But whats the point about?
Dameon then makes his way over to the ladder picking it up and dumping it out of the ring right on top of the Blood Money member lying limp outside of the ring. The Beast then motions for a microphone and looks around at the crowd for a minute taking in the boo's and cheer's as they come.
Dameon: It's been quite some time since I have spoken to you folks, and quite frankly, some things have happened in that time.
More cheers now overpower the boo's as the crowd builds up.
Dameon: You see me and my partner Mikheil Jarvis, have this tag team finals tournament coming up, and well frankly... Nothing to Lose, will be your new TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!!!
The crowd erupts, loving the enthusiasm behind Dameon's voice. Dameon then points outside of the ring referring to Lionel.
Dameon: Hahaha look he twitches... Tonight we find out whether me and Mikheal Jarvis face, Aidan Morag and Brass Martin, or the ridiculously wretched team known, as Rated Rayn. These teams even though more credentialed than myself and my partner but just all of you wait and see, because there is blood in the water... And I am damn sure hungry for some gold... Speaking of some gold I am hungry for, Murphy, you ready yet?
Steve: Strong words from the man they call Dameon...
Phil: Could he maybe be holding more than one belt real soon here?
Steve: We'll have to wait and see now won't we?
Dameon then drops the mic, slides under the bottom rope, and as he is about to jump the guardrail Dameon is blasted with a chair right in the head. Dameon is down and bleeding when the camera zooms out to see Twilight holding the chair. Twilight looks down at Dameon with a blank stare.
Phil: Dameon has been laying people out left and right and now with one chair shot by Twilight Dameon is the one laid out.
Steve: We gotta go to a commercial, when we come back United States Title match between TK Money and Kyle Murphy and the final of two second round tag titles tournament.
Kyle Murphy vs. TK Money Standard United States Title Match The arena goes dark, moments later a white light turns on at the top of the entrance ramp where TK Money is standing.
Steve: Theres TK as he makes his way to the ring.
"Enter Sandman" by Metallica hits the loudspeakers and green and gold pyro erupt at the stage area. Kyle Murphy walks with the United States Championship around his waist. He walks confidently down the aisle, completely focused on the ring. At ringside Kyle leaps to the top of the steps, then walks to the middle of the apron before stepping into the ring. Taking the title belt from around his waist, he goes to the far corner and steps up onto the second rope. He proudly holds the US Championship over his head in both hands. The crowd continues to roar, and Murphy steps down off the second rope. He holds up the US Championship one more time, then hands it to the referee and gets ready to compete.
Here we go. US Title is on the line.
Kyle and TK size each other up. Neither from eithers stable are there.
Steve: We received words that neither stables are being allowed ringside.
The bell rings and Kyle starts it off with a running forearm on TK knocking him to the ground. Kyle picks him up with a powerslam then sets up and nails a tombstone piledriver! The ref counts 1……………..2………….kickout!
Phil: That was a close one.
TK gets up quickly and takes out the knees of Kyle, Kyle is holding his left knee. TK locks in a figure four leg lock and Kyle is screaming in pain.
Steve: This could be it right here.
The ref asks Kyle if he wants to give up, he shakes his head no.
Phil: Just a matter of time now.
Somehow Kyle musters enough power to slowly crawl to the ropes and hangs on for dear life as the ref makes TK break the hold.
TK now with a snap suplex on Kyle Murphy, he covers but again only a 2 count. TK with a shooting star press and nails it, he covers Kyle.
Steve: I think its over, we may have a new US champ!
The ref counts 1………….2…………..kickout!
Phil: Wow what resilience by Kyle Murphy.
TK goes for Springboard Moonsault he flies off but Kyle rolls out of the way at the last second. Kyle grabs TK and nails his No Maker’s Mark he covers TK as the ref counts 1………..2…………..3!
Steve: Aww man its over, a costly mistake by TK tonight, cost him the US title.
Phil: I wouldn’t worry too much about TK, I am sure this isjust a small detour for him and Blood Money.
Steve: A good match in either case.
Kyle Murphy The scene opens up backstage to Connor MacDaddy walking down a
hallway. A man steps in front of him, its Elite domination members, Aidan Morag and Brass Martin.
Connor MacDaddy: ...can I help you?
Aidan Morag: Look... Connor... We go back a long ways, right?
Connor MacDaddy: Sure.
Aidan Morag: Well, I know you can be quite a problem if you want to
be. So here's what's going to happen. You are going to stay out of
Elite Domination's way. Why? Because I know you have problems with the
Holocaust... but they are ours. We don't need any distractions. So I
am asking you nicely... Just stay out of our business with the
Holocaust, and in turn... you can have whatever scraps of Nirvana are
left? Understand?
Connor looks down and nods his head.
Connor MacDaddy: Hmm... yeah. You're right... I understand.
Aidan and Brass smile.
Brass Martin: I knew you'd see it our way.
Connor smiles and continues walking downn the corridor. He turns the
corner and comes face-to-face with the Holocaust locker room. Connor
thinks for a second and knocks on the door. After a moment, the door
opens and Nirvana answers it. Soon he is backed up by Annika Reizeger
and Daniel Jacobson...
Connor MacDaddy: Hold on now, I am not here to fight. I just want to
tell you, I had an interesting conversation with Aidan Morag. I am not
saying you will need it, but if the Holocaust ever needs an extra hand
or mind to go against Elite Domination... you can count on me.
Connor smiles and winks and walks away, as Nirvana says nothing, then
closes the door.
Steve: Main event time when we come back!!
Brass Martin & Aidan Morag vs. Rayn & Reno Destiny 2nd Round of Tag Team Title Tournament - Standard Tag Match Steve: It’s main event time here on War.
“Crawling” by Linkin Park begins to play and then Elite Domination members Brass Martin and Aidan Morag make there way out through the curtain. They walk down the ramp, up the stairs, and enter the ring. They raise there hands in the air.
Phil: Brass Martin just defeated Aidan Morag for the Flesh N Bone title just three nights ago. Not to mention they both are in Elite Domination. Can’t wait to see if what happen at Breakdown has any possibility of affecting the outcome of this match.
The lights dim as we hear the ticking of a clock. Green strobes start going off around the entrance as three green search lights start to scan the crowd. We hear "Line in the Sand" by Motorhead start on the speakers as sparks start to rain down from the bottom of the SFT-tron, we see Rayn walk through the sparks and stand in front of them. He lifts the SFT Intercontinental belt into the air above his head. Rayn lowers the belt and walks down to the ring. He climbs up the steps, and walks across an apron. He climbs up to the second turnbuckle, raising the title up above his head. He looks out at the crowd for a moment, before lowering the belt, and hoping into the ring. He walks over to the turnbuckle in the opposite corner of the ring, and climbs to the second turnbuckle, once again raising the title above his head. Finally he climbs down, hands the ref his title, and takes one of his new shirts off and tosses it into the crowd.
Steve: Rayn is the Intercontinental Champion and a member of The Holocaust. So we got Holocaust versus Elite Domination in this 2nd round tag title tournament match.
IM LEAVING IT UP TO YOU.. CUZ I WALKED AWAYYYYYY WHEN I SAID ID STAYYYY" THe Guitar Rumbles through the arena and the crowd stands up with signs in hand and the lights in the areana flicker in a transe and blue lights start flashing through the areana as Reno Destiny Emurges from the Curtains and stands on the stage staring at the fans quickly turning his head from side to side.. he whipes his face and walks down to the ring he stops right before the mats to the ring area and he takes in the crowds praises then he slides into the ring and immediatley heads toward the top turnbuckle.. he points to the crowd and starts talking and pointing at himself he raises his hands and the pyro from the top of the arena falls on the ring leaving a curtin wall of fireworks he gets down and stretches out.
Phil: On Breakdown Reno gave Big T a run for his money but still came out on the losing end of that triple threat match. Tonight he and Rayn look to go on to the finals to meet Dameon and Mikheil Jarvis for the Tag Titles.
Steve: If you had to put money on this match Phil, who would you bet on?
Phil: If I had to place a bet I would probably bet on Elite Domination. Brass and Aidan are very good at what the do, but this will be a good match.
Steve: Rayn and Reno aren’t slouches so expect a back and forth match.
The ref calls for the bell as the two teams decide who’s going to start.
DING DING DING
Steve: Looks like Brass and Reno will start out for their respective teams.
Aidan and Rayn go out on the apron. Reno and Brass stare each other down from opposite sides of the ring and then they decide circle each other and lock up in the middle of the ring. Brass and Reno jockey for position and Brass does an arm drag on Reno, who gets up fast and runs at Brass who hits another arm drag. Reno gets up fast again and takes a step at Brass but stops.
Phil: Reno thought twice about going at Brass a third time.
Reno and Brass go to lock up again but Brass kicks Reno in the gut, and then hits him a couple of times with forearm smashes to the face. Brass chops Reno against the ropes and then whips him across the ring. Reno comes running back and Brass drops him with a big boot to the face. Reno is up and Brass hits a body slam on Reno. Brass drops an elbow on Reno and then goes out on the apron. Brass climbs to the top rope and pounds his chest like Eddie Guerrero and jumps off with a frog splash but Reno rolls out of the way and Brass misses. Reno tags in Rayn who immediately goes after Brass and hits Brass with some shots to the side of the head. Rayn grabs Brass around the waist and hits an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Rayn covers Brass.
Steve: 1.. 2.. Brass kicks out!
Rayn gets up and picks Brass up to his feet. Rayn hits Brass with some knife edge chops and whips Brass across the ring. Brass bounces off the ropes and Rayn takes him down with a powerslam and hooks a leg.
Phil: 1.. 2.. Brass kicks out again.
Steve: Rayn has Brass reeling right now.
Rayn picks Brass up and goes for a fisherman suplex but Brass hits Rayn in the gut a couple of times and then runs off the ropes. Rayn leap frogs Brass and on the return trip off the ropes Rayn and Brass take each other down with a clothesline.
Steve: Rayn and Brass are both down and slowly making there ways to their tag partners.
Phil: Looks like Rayn is going to make it to Reno before Brass is going to make it to Aidan.
Rayn tags in Reno who goes right after Brass but Brass hits a back body drop on Reno and tags in Aidan quickly. Aidan comes in the freshest man in the match and on fire right away. Aidan drops Reno with a punch and takes down Rayn with a shot as well. Aidan hits Reno a couple of times and whips him across the ring into the ropes. Aidan drops Reno with a nice dropkick.
Steve: Aidan almost took off Reno’s head with that dropkick.
Phil: Aidan with a cover, 1.. 2.. and Reno kicks out.
Aidan stands up and stands Reno up with Reno’s back to him. Aidan grabs Reno around the waist and hits a bridging german suplex on Reno.
Phil: The ref is down, 1.. 2.. NO!!
Steve: Reno kicked out again.
Phil: A couple of close calls on Reno.
Aidan gets up and again brings Reno to his feet. Aidan kicks Reno in the gut, sets him up for, and drops him with a piledriver.
Steve: Why isn’t Aidan going for the cover?
Phil: I think he has something else in mind for Reno.
Aidan goes out on the apron and begins to climb to the top rope. Rayn comes over and grabs Aidan’s ankle. The distraction is enough to get Reno back on his feet. He climbs up to the middle rope and does a suplex, but holds on to Aidan and does two more suplexes.
Steve: Three amigos, a lot of Eddie Guerrero in this match.
Reno floats over for the cover.
Phil: 1… 2… 3NOOOOO!!!
Steve: Damn that was hella close!
Reno stands up and brings Aidan to his feet as well. Reno kicks Aidan in the gut and calls for the Turn Tides. Reno lifts Aidan up but Aidan blocks and back drops Reno. Reno and Aidan are both up and run at each other and they both hit clotheslines.
Phil: They are both down but Aidan looks more hurt than Reno.
Reno inches his way toward Rayn and Aidan can barely move as he centimeters his way toward Brass. Reno tags in Rayn and Brass says screw it and runs in. He meets Rayn in the middle of the ring and they exchange blows. Brass gets the better of Rayn and clotheslines Rayn out of the ring. Reno is up and he turns Brass around and hits Fate sending Brass back to his own corner.
Steve: Reno just jacked Brass’ jaw.
Reno turns around and Aidan kicks him in the gut hard. Aidan sets up Reno and lifts him up for and nails a Sickening.
Phil: I bet Reno has a headache now!
Aidan stands up and walks right into Rayn who hits Aidan with an Epiphany. Just then Brass comes in and spears Rayn down hard to the mat. Brass quicker than a rabbit jumps to the top and comes off taking Rayn out with a Brass Assasin!!
Steve: This has been back and forth for the past couple of minutes.
Phil: How will it end?
Just as it looks as if Brass is gonna go for the pin Nirvana comes running out. Brass tries to jump over the top but hits nothing but floor. Aidan is up and sees Nirvana. Aidan jumps out of the ring to go after Nirvana. Nirvana dips around the ring post and Aidan gives chase. Nirvana slides in the ring and Aidan follows but Aidan is caught with a sick spinebuster by Rayn as Nirvana exits the ring. Rayn goes to the turnbuckles and hits The Rayn Fall on Aidan and hooks the leg.
Phil: 1… 2… 3!! It’s over!!
Steve: Brass tried to get back in the ring but came up short.
Rayn and Reno Destiny Phil: I had my money on Brass and Aidan and they have lost thanks to Nirvana making the run-in. Thanks a lot Nirvana!
Steve: Did you really bet on this match?
Phil: No! Not even! No way in hell!
Steve: Uh-huh! Anyways another great War is in the books. No War next week due to the pay per view. See you at Hotter Than Hell!!
Phil: Goodnight!!
